Freecycle

Anyone else a fan of Storage Wars on A&E?? I have always watched that show and some day i am going to try getting into that. I love the idea of getting peoples old run down items and refurbishing them. Anyways i was inspired to write this post about used merchandise.I have to start out by saying i'm not one of those people who refuse to use used merchandise with some exceptions(undergarments, dishes, beds, linens). My younger sister says she is above going to the local swap shop and says it's gross using other peoples used things which i laugh at because I have saved so much money over the years and never had an issue with any of the stuff i've brought into my home. Up until recently i had never heard of freecycle but both me and my husband are obsessed and check our emails daily to see what kind of cool stuff we can get. Some of the things we have gotten are:

-canoe(just got this one yesterday and it was in amazing condition)
-kids toy kitchen
-all sorts of exercise equipment
-nice beige pullout sofa in amazing condition
-tv stand
-bureaus
-bikes
-old war Gun ammo cases(husbands into collecting)

Of course we also stop by our local swap shop go yard saling pretty often too.
check out my links below for some online spots to get free/cheap merchandise.
